If the Bible can be shown to accurately portray the history of life and the earth
as described by current science*, then would this be a great witness to many non-believers
around the world that the author of the Bible is the great Creator of nature?

We would ask the following question for Christian parents, teachers, and caregivers who want the
children in their care to learn about science or technology and also want them to learn about the
trustworthiness of the Bible ...
Do you want the children in your care to learn science and technology in a way that's in agreement
with what they are learning from the Bible?
Big Bible examines our past, explains our present, and imagines our future based on the truths of the Bible. It's a story about how the LORD God created us in His image to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever. Big Bible takes the perspective of Old Earth Creationism (OEC) which harmonizes well with our current scientific understanding of the Bible when understood with some key insights.
The Big Bible Project takes inspiration from the Big History project, but with a desire to include what we believe to be the most important aspect, namely the place of the Creator and Sustainer of the universe as explained in the Bible. We are just beginning to work on this project, but we plan to have more and more resources to learn from and study with as time goes on.
In this process, we hope to help dispel the common misconception that the Bible is scientifically inaccurate and full of myths and legends. In fact, the opposite is true. A good example is the first chapter of Genesis which describes the creation of the universe. Understood in light of the frame of reference given in verse 2 (that the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters, implied here as of the waters that covered the earth), then the six "days" (which could also be faithfully translated as "periods of time") have excellent correspondence to the evolution of the earth for the past 4.5 billion years as determined from the latest scientific findings. This correspondence is outlined in summary format on the Genesis Timeline table page. There is also a good discussion about how the Bible compares to creation stories from other religions and cultures at the end of the video Journey to Creation. For a description of creation that was written well over 3000 years ago to match the scientific evidence so well strongly suggests a divine authorship for the Bible.
